Founded in late 2004, New American Vision (NAV) has emerged as a leading niche / grassroots marketing firm dedicated to bring new independent and specialty films to new American audiences. Pursuing a vision of a 21st century America marked by many languages, ethnicities, political interests, lifestyles, and sub-cultures, NAV’s business model encompasses the distribution and marketing of niche-oriented content and messages that reach out to traditionally underserved markets in both the entertainment and educational arenas.
New American Vision currently handles more than 200 films a year, principally via its clients The Film Society of Lincoln Center, the Los Angeles Film Festival, the American Film Institute's AFI FEST, and Wolfe Releasing (the largest catalogue of LGBT film titles in the world). In recent years, we have also handled numerous films with such clients as Roadside Attractions, Rocket Releasing, Moving Pictures, Variance Films, Distrimax, the International Documentary Association, as well as numerous independent producers seeking customized marketing and distribution for their films.
NAV employs a particularly aggressive targeted and niche-specific approach to its marketing and grassroots efforts, and in doing so has worked with a vast panoply of the nation's most important non-profit and community-building organizations. Representative organizations include Amnesty International, National Geographic, The Sierra Club, The United Nations, Human Rights Watch, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) The Trevor Project, MoveOn.org, National Organization for Women (NOW), The Screen Actors Guild, NAACP, Habitat for Humanity, California Lawyers for the Arts, The Asia Society, Coalition of Asian Pacifics In Entertainment (CAPE), National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP), Black Hollywood Education & Resource Center (BHERC), uniFRANCE, Alliance Francaise (FIAF), The French Embassy, Filmmakers Alliance, Film at REDCAT, Giant Robot, Italian Film Commission, Japanese External Trade Organization (JETRO), Latino Public Broadcasting, Ballet Hispanico, Mexican Cultural Institute, Levantine Cultural Center, Los Angeles Conservancy, Cinema Tropical, Humane Society of the United States, Russian-American Business and Arts Council, California Academy of Sciences, Scripps Institute, Southern California Indian Center, Korean Cultural Center, Visual Communications, Women In Film, USC School of Cinematic Arts, Columbia Film Studies Program, MOCA Los Angeles, LACMA, The NY LGBT Center, GLAAD, The Museum of the Moving Image, and more 750 film festivals worldwide as well as a list of university departments and foreign consulates too wide-ranging to mention.
