from WOLFE RELEASING

The long wait for Nicole Conn's latest film ELENA UNDONE is finally over. The film is now finished, just in time for its gala world premiere in a couple of weeks at Frameline 34: San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival. This promises to be one of the biggest lesbian hits of the year! That means you can finally request screeners from us.

IN ADDITION — many of you know that Wolfe's webisode series WE HAVE TO STOP NOW was originally sent out in an INCORRECT EDIT…with DVD extras inserted right into the middle of the film! But we now have CORRECTED screeners…so you can see the film how it was intended. So if WE HAVE TO STOP NOW is on your radar, but you haven't had a chance to see the actual program as intended, please email us for that one as well.

Elena Undone

ABOUT THE FILM:

From veteran acclaimed director Nicole Conn (CLAIRE OF THE MOON), comes a story about shattering pre-conceived notions of love. Peyton and Elena are, on the surface, diametrically opposed — one a lesbian writer, the other a religious wife and mother. What begins as friendship quickly blossoms into something deeper. Despite Peyton’s reservations, Elena pushes the relationship into a full-blown affair. The two women fall deeply in love, both keenly aware a future together might be little more than a dream.

WE HAVE TO STOP NOW:
SEASON ONE

ABOUT THE FILM:

Wolfe has packaged together season one of this hit lesbian webisode series starring Cathy DeBuono, Jill Bennett, and Suzanee Westenhoeffer into a eighty-minute program sure to delight the ladies! This off-beat, quirky love story features the sexy and dynamic talents of Cathy DeBuono (Dyna) and Jill Bennett (Kit) as two lesbian therapists as they struggle to keep up the pretense of their own marriage after the success of their book “How To Succeed In Marriage Without Even Trying.” Things get complicated when Kit’s stoner, and potentially bisexual, sister Cindy moves in after being evicted yet again. To make matters worse, a documentary film crew starts filming every single moment of Dyna and Kit’s home life, meaning no one’s secrets are safe.

HOOTERS!

Curious Thing

ABOUT THE FILM:

Jared is closeted. Sam is straight. They find a connection in each other that neither has man has had before, but where do they go from there? Over the course of three nights, six gay men sat down for interviews with the filmmakers about their experiences, sexual and otherwise, with straight men. Those documentary interviews provide the narration for CURIOUS THING as we watch Jared and Sam form a friendship that tests the boundaries of what they know about love. But as Jared’s walls slowly come down and his passion for Sam grows, things take an unexpected turn. Filmed in New York City over five days, CURIOUS THING captures the freedom that only comes when you confront the thing that terrifies you most. A romance, a coming out story, and a documentary all in one, CURIOUS THING is the first of a three part trilogy examining the lives of gay men in NYC.

The In-Between

ABOUT THE FILM:

Jared has found himself his first live-in boyfriend, but begins to suspect that the man he is in love with isn’t as faithful as he would hope. Has his paranoia got the better of him? Or are his instincts dead on? The second in a trilogy of shorts focusing on the gay community, THE IN-BETWEEN explores the challenges, expectations and hope that comes from entering into a monogamous relationship. Continuing in the series’ format, THE IN-BETWEEN uses documentary audio of gay men discussing their experiences with monogamy, as the film’s narration. A drama, a tragedy and a documentary all in one, THE IN-BETWEEN crosses many boundaries, both in form and subject.

A Lack of Gravity

ABOUT THE FILM:

With a new partner and a quiet life in the suburbs, Jared finds himself tackling new obstacles. How does he live his life as a dignified gay man in a society that does not consider him equal? And how will he handle his partner's constant need to censor any public affection? One horrific event forces them both to figure it out. The finale piece in this trilogy of short films, A LACK OF GRAVITY explores homophobia, activism and gay rights in America. Continuing in the series’ format, documentary audio of gay men discussing their experiences with homophobia acts as the film’s narration.
